HHS wins 2014 MTSCA Championship

The Lady Commandos played their first game on Saturday at 9:00 am and played the last game of the day at Ridley Park at 7:00 pm.  HHS played in the championship game against Murfreesboro Oakland.  HHS got on the board early with a two run homerun in the first inning by Carly Corah.  Before the inning was over, HHS would add one more run when Brooke Biggerstaff brought Matti Byrd's courtesy runner (Ace Hanson) home.  Oakland would add one run in the bottom of the first inning.  Hendersonville would add two runs in the second inning.  Emily Mays and Lexi Revis would score on a hit by Carly Corah.  Oakland would score three runs in the third inning to cut the lead to one.  Oakland would have their top three in the lineup for the final inning.   The top three of the lineup acconted for three of the four runs and three hits going into the final inning.  HHS was able to to get all three out to secure the MTSCA Championship.  Carley Carlisle was the winning pitcher going all five innings.  This is Carley's eleventh win on the season.
