HHS wins at rival Gallatin 7-3

The Lady Commandos traveled for their final district game of the season at rival, Gallatin.  Hendersonville jumped on Gallatin early with four runs in the first inning.  Emily Mays led off the game with a single, followed by a Ashleigh Stratton single, followed by a Carly Corah walk.  Destiny Paul would single to score Emily.  Alex Walker would get on base with a fielder choice, forcing Ashleigh Stratton out at home.  Carly Corah would score on a wild pitch, followed by a Lindsey Munn single that score two (Destiny and Alex).  Gallatin would cut into the lead by scoring one run in the bottom of the first off one hit and one error.  HHS would get that run back and a couple more in the top of the second inning by scoring three runs.  Carly Corah would single, followed by a Destiny Paul walk, followed by a double by Alex Walker that scored Carly Corah.  Destiny Paul would score on a sacrifice fly by Lindsey Munn to centerfield.  Alex Walker would to third on that sac hit and score on a wild pitch.  This would be all the runs the Lady Commandos would score on the afternoon.  The Lady Commandos would hold onto the lead for the win.  Gallatin would score in fourth inning off two hits and one run in the fifth inning off two hits.  Julia Meade picked up the victory on the day pitching all seven innings, striking out four batters, while walking two.  One of the runs was unearned on the afternoon for Julia.  Tuesday Cline pitched all seven innings for the Lady Wave, while picking up the loss.  On the day, Ashleigh Stratton was 2-4 with two singles.  Destiny Paul was 1-3 with a RBI. a walk, and two runs scored.  Lindsey Munn was 1-1 with a single, three RBI's, and two Sacrifices. 


In the final JV game of the season, HHS defeated the Lady Wave by a score of 5-0 in three innings.  HHS would get on the board in the second inning.  Madi Hulsey would hit a double.  Rachel Hackett would single to put runners at the corner.  Jessica Conley would single bring both girls home.  The next inning saw HHS score three runs.  Brittany Noe would start off with a walk, Emily Mays would walk, Katee Byrd would single.  Ashleigh Stratton would then single to bring home Brittany.  Emily and Katee Byrd would score in the inning off a wild pitch and a single.  Brooke Biggerstaff pitched two innings in the game.  Brooke gave up no hits, walks, while striking out four batters.  Alexis Meadors would pitch the final inning, giving up no hits, no walks, and struck out one batter.
