Lady Commandos beat rival Bison at home

The Lady Commandos won their second district game of the season against district and county rival Station Camp Bison.  Station Camp would score first in the top of the first inning.  Hendersonville would score three in the first inning in response.  Brittany Kemp and Sami Westcott would score on a single by Destiny Paul.  Melody Watson would also score in the first innign on a Becca Griffin sacrifice fly to center field.  Cierra Graham would start the bottom of the second innigng scoring on a Sami Westcott hit.  Brittany Kemp and Sami Westcott would score in the second consecutive inning on a Melody Watson hit.  Cierra Graham would score again in the third inning on a Brittany Kemp single, Julia Meade, Brittany Kemp, and Lindsey Munn all scored on a Sami Westcott double.  Becca Griffin scored in the fourth inning on a Taylor Jontz single.  The final runs of the game came in the bottom of the fifth.  Lindsey Munn would score on a Sami Westcott double.  Sami would then score on a Melody Watson single to end the game.  Julia Meade picked up the win, which is her fifth of the season.  This now makes her record at 5-2. 

 

The next game saw some rain, cold air, and a walk off hit by Katelyn Hubbard.  HHS would score first in the game in the bottom of the first inning on a hit by Destiny Paul that drove in Lindsey Munn.  Station Camp would then score two runs in the top of the third inning.  Station Camp would then add five runs in the top of the fourth to take a 7-1 lead.  With rain starting, Ashley Carter would walk to start the inning.  Julia Meade would follow that up with a walk along with a Melody Watson walk.  Destiny Paul would then be hit by pitch that would score Ashley Carter.  Becca Griffin would get on base by an infield error that scored Julia Meade.  Jessica Conley would then get on base by another infield error by the Bison that scored Melody Watson.  Destiny Paul would then score on a groundout to short by Rachel Hackett.  This left two girls on  base (Becca Griffin and Jessica Conley).  They would score on a triple down the left field line by Hannah Carrell.  Hannah would score the game winning run on a hit to right field by Katelyn Hubbard.

 

The Lady Commandos travel to the Boro for the Lady Warrior Classic.  They will see teams from four different states, Tennessee, Alabama, Ohio, and Mississippi.  The next district game will see the Lady Commandos travel to Triple Creek Park in Gallatin for a game against district and county rival Lady Wave on April 5th.
