Lady Commandos hang on to defeat Wilson Central

The Lady Commandos played the second game of their double header against the defending state champions, Wilson Central.  HHS trailed early as Central scored one run off three hits in the second inning.   HHS would answer in the bottom half of the second by scoring three runs off three hits.   HHS would add their final run of the game the following inning as Amaya Marshall scored on a ground out by Alex Beavers.   This run ended up being the difference in the game.  Wilson Central would make a come back in the fifth inning.  Central would load the bases with two outs and Katee Eakes would single to bring in two runs.   The following batter, K. Richetto would strike out to end the inning.   HHS would hang on to pick up the important district win by striking out the side in the seventh inning.   Hannah Thompson pitched five innings giving up three runs and five hits, while striking out two Lady Wildcats.   Carley Carlisle picked up the save going two innings.  Carley gave up no runs, no hits, walking one, and striking out five.
